the everyday, february 27

 so I've been struggling these past few weeks to figure out my project for my final portfolio class, and earlier this week I finally did. I'll be revisiting a project I did three years ago at the end of my sophomore year, right before my portfolio review. the original project made up a large part of the body of work that I used to enter into my program. I think it'll be interesting to continue it now that I'm on my way out of the program.
without getting too much into the long boring specifics, this project examines honesty and the everyday. every hour that I am awake, at the same time (45 minutes past the hour), I stop whatever I am doing and take a photo. not every photo is going to be fantastic, but it will be fun and challenging to try to make nice pictures in places I go every day. these images are from the first day, February 27th.

 this salad was really gross so I just ate all the tomatoes and cheese. yum.

I've always been one of those people who just slaps up posters and stuff on the walls randomly. I always try to control myself but ultimately my room ends up looking like the room of a crazy person! lately, though, I've been really into actually framing things that are important instead of random shit. it's been fun and also a little weird. I'm not usually so domestic! 

this is one of my favorites--strips from those dumb little photo machines at the various zoos we went to last summer. can't wait until it gets warm so we can visit more zoos. we love animals and dumb stuff!

then eric called me because he had run out of gas on the way home from work. I had to run to the gas station and get him a couple gallons so he could make it home! I made sure to give him lots of crap for it. love you buddy.
