home

we moved into our new place in Chicago a bit over a month ago. it's a pretty typical place for this city--not a two flat (I love those and want to live in one someday!) but an old two-unit building squished into a weird location, with large front windows and hardwood floors and lots of quirks. the landlord is an easygoing guy who told Eric, "this place is your kingdom. do whatever you want. I don't care!" and says we will someday get married because every couple who has lived in our apartment has gotten married and bought a house.
it gets great light and we are allowed to have dogs, which is so tempting. I won't be able to hold out much longer.

anyway, here are some bits and pieces of our place.

the hazards of having a white rug in a house with two cyclists. someday this will be replaced.

love the Logan Square farmer's market!

our tiny bathroom has a sad bison.

we need to get a record player so I can listen to my favorite Jens Lekman record.
