eric, ross, derek, and I took a trip to milwaukee! we went up there wednesday afternoon and stayed the night. milwaukee is only two hours away from where I live and yet I've never been there. 

1:45 pm.

2:45 pm.

coffee. always. everyday.

3:45 pm.

spring break has been good to me. I've been unreasonably excited to be able to paint my nails since they won't be immediately destroyed by working in the shop. simple pleasures, right?

4:45 pm.

editing and posting the previous day's photos before heading off to milwaukee.

5:45 pm.

eric bought me this bacon maple donut beer for my birthday last year. it was gross. I love the bottle though!

6:45 pm.

I always feel so much better when I leave my little town. it's so isolated and I forget that there is a real world outside of it.

ross found our hotel. it's called the milwaukee athletic club and I think it's one of those places that used to be fancy and upscale way back when, but now is a little run down. it's one of those horror movie hotels that feels frozen in time--excessively fancy, old butler, almost completely empty, valet parking only, etc. we liked it. 

9:45 pm.

ross took us to the Rumpus Room. this beer I has was insanely delicious. holy crap. it's Peruvian Morning by Central Waters. super chocolatey with a strong whiskey flavor. my mouth is watering. TRY IT.

10:45 pm.

the engineering school downtown has funny signs.

real chili, as opposed to fake chili?

12:45 pm.

we went to a bar called Bad Genie to meet up with our friend Ruth--she is from milwaukee but goes to school with us at NIU, and happened to be back in milwaukee for spring break!

Sixpoint's Resin. so hoppy, so tasty. milwaukee has great beers.
